MARK CROSS, LONDON, ROUND CYLINDER LEATHER TOILETRY CASE HOUSING 3 TRIANGLE BOTTLES IS MONOGRAMMED WITH THE INITIALS MJH IN GOLD LETTERING. THE TAN LEATHER CASE IS STURDY AND IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO TEARS, DAMAGES OR BROKEN STITCHINGS. THE LINING INSIDE IS ALSO IN LEATHER. IT IS WELL MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE QUALITY AND IMMACULATE WORKMANSHIP OF MARK CROSS THAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS THE SHAPE AND CONDITION STILL HOLD. THE BOTTLES ALL HAVE GLASS STOPPERS UNDERNEATH THE SCREW TOP. THE BOTTLES ARE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE WITH ONE EXCEPTION THAT ONE BOTTLE STOPPER IS TOO TIGHT TO OPEN CURRENTLY AND I DID NOT WANT TO FORCE IT. I AM NOT SURE OF THE AGE. PERHAPS AROUND EARLY 1900's. APPROXIMATE SIZE: Leather cylinder case= 2 7/8" diameter, 5" high. Bottle = 2 1/4" W & 4 1/2" high PLEASE LOOK AT THE LAST PHOTO FOR SIZE ILLUSTRATION. He eventually buys the company for $6,000. 1892- Patrick Murphy moves Mark Cross Co. to New York and opens shop on Broadway. Saddlery and leather goods are produced at a factory in Walsall, England for export to America.
