Presented here is a Minty Cross Classic Century 2242 Burgundy GT Ladies Ballpoint Pen w Box & Pen Purse. This pen is an icon of American design and innovation and the choice of movers, shakers and ground breakers since 1946. Classic Century symbolizes the spirit of entrepreneurship and the will to succeed. This sleek pen features a tasteful burgundy color with gold trim and a nice gold design where the cap meets the barrel. This is a lady’s pen with no clip. It was designed to be carried in a purse. For protection, it comes with its original burgundy leather PEN PURSE and original green case , outer cardboard sleeve and instruction booklet . The complete package!!! The pen & pencil measure around 5.2” long and 0.3” wide . The pen has an original black Cross refill that still works. These refills are readily available. The pen signed CROSS –USA . Cap is personalized B. U. Theater ’98 and this helps in dating the pen. Not sure, but BU is probably for Boston University. Most likely a high end gift/promotional item. The pen is in near mint pre-owned vintage condition with no signs of active use. There is no loss to the burgundy or gold finish. The patented twist action mechanism works smooth. Refill still works & writes smooth but age is unknown and may need to be replaced soon. The pen purse is in unused condition and stored under the pen with the instruction booklet.
